Scary Weekend

This weekend Jer and I didn't have any plans so I started being pretty bored. Friday night we went to Applebee's and saw Jessica and had a great meal. Saturday I thought I was going to have a full day with Jer, but he went on a 50 mile bike ride up immigration canyon with Sam. This left me bored so I went shopping for some organizing bins. I came back home and took a little nap, Jer came home really tired so he took a nap too. Around 5 o'clock we got all ready to go party with my family at the blaze game (refer to Adam's blog for how fun it was.) We met my family at Crown burger downtown and had a lovely meal. While in line we got a call from the Bishop's daughter, Dani saying that Jer's mom, Ann, called them telling her that she needed help. We tried to call our siblings back home to see if they knew what was going on. We finally got a hold of Nick and asked nick to see if he could go over there and to give us a call when he found out what was going on. When we got a call back we have been notified that Nick was riding in the Ambulance with Ann and they were going to the Emergency Room at the new hospital. Jer and I quickly left out dinner and went straight to the hospital to meet up with Miranda. Miranda said that Ann was pale, shaky and not in good condition. Grandma and Grandpa Poulson showed up as well as 2 of Ann's sisters. They all took turns sitting with Ann in the ER, I didn't take a turn because I hate seeing people in the ER. I just entertained everyone in the waiting room. They told her she needed to stay a couple of days in the hospital. They did lots of tests including a spinal tap to check for meningitis. We moved to Ann's hospital room and kept here company until about 11:45. Ann didn't want anybody to stay the night with her even though we all offered. After all the tests came back the doctors told us that she was a really bad kidney infection and it has spread to her blood stream. The doctors told her that if she wasn't close to help this could have been fatal. Ann was so worried about not being able to cook dinner for all of us because she would be in the hospital. So it ended up that I made dinner for my cute little family and dessert too. You all should be proud of me for doing that. I hope that Ann gets out of the hospital soon keep her and Charlie in you prayers.

Eventful nights!!

As a young single adult my nights used to consists of staying out late and then coming home and falling asleep to the sound of my dog Lexy and the Parental units synchronized snoring! Now that I'm married my nights are not the same, no longer do I get that relaxing night sleep I used to nor do I listen to people snore. I now listen to Jeremy sleep and I laugh my head off every night! One thing some of you don't know is that Jeremy sleep talks. Seriously, every night I have late night entertainment. He will wake up, jump out of bed and go get a towel to... get a worm of the fan, clean up hair gel that is in our bed, or to clean up whatever. He also runs and grabs his sweat pants because his friends are coming over or he just yells out things. Last night he told me to make a list of people who we knew that were playing video games. I can't stop laughing, he is so funny. He even giggles when I rollover or even move.

Finally good food!

I have just recently found out that slow cookers are the best thing all the earth!
You hardly have to do anything! I cut up carrots and potatoes, put a roast in the crock pot, put in some onion soup stuff. Place every thing in the pot, pour a little coke over the top, go to work and come home and there it is all done and ready for me to eat. It is my best cooking yet and I'm sure Jer likes it too. Not only does it do all the work for you and turns out to be a very good meal, if keeps feeding you for like 2 more days! I love it! Does anyone have any other recipe's for me besides a roast?
