Girlfriends on the Go!

Today my Sisters, my Mom, and I all got together to exchange/make dinner for the month. This is probably the best way to cook. All you need to do is 1. Go shopping at the Costco and buy all the food in the picture below. 2. Invite 4 girlfriends to come and spend the afternoon cooking. 3. turn on some good tunes and rock out while cookin'. You do need to plan out an entire day for this for it will take a long time and you will get tired. (we suggest to leave children with their father)
The day started out at the Costco, I mostly just watched my mom figure out what we needed while I did a little food tasting. (Hey I got some GOOD wheat bread). After that we headed home for a fun day of cooking. Now if you know me at all you must know that Kelli in the kitchen is a bad idea. Be not afraid for I was being supervised by my Mother and 3 knowledgeable relief society women. I thought with all four of them around it was impossible to mess things up ..........Right?
Here is what we brought home from the grocery store. As all five of us stood gazing at this bulk of food on the table I thought to myself, " Are you kidding me? This is going to take FOREVER, Where do we even start? Maybe I could fake sick, take a nap, wake up and it would be all done"
I knew my mother would not let me get a way with that. I then rememberd that I was told once that I was a strong Edman women and I can do anything I put my mind to so suck it up and just do it (of course that was on Trek during the Woman's pull). So I pulled out some strength and we went to work on this HUGE task that laid before us.
Well, by the time we got the pot's heated up and our booty's in gear we were having a grand ole' time! We danced, sang, and laughed all day long. Seriously I felt like I was in a musical about cooking dinner. Mom was our "lead chef" She would walk around shooting orders and throwing food at us and telling us what item went with what dinner. We were really organized and everything seemed just to flow. We would cook about 2-3 dinners at once, on person would write on the bags what to do with the dinner when you are ready to cook. Another person would be cutting chicken (Jessica your the champ), vegetables, or rolling out dough.

This is Nat making Ham and Cheese Casserole. She is also getting her groove on to some 80's music we jammed out to.
We all worked together so well and had so much fun. The only down fall was crying babies, but thanks to Pappy and Travis the kids were kept busy for the last 2 hours of us cooking dinners.

Here Nat is making a Cheesy Rigatoni Bake and Katie is baking Beef and Cheese Quesadillas

Here Jessica is making Pizza Braids.

This is my Mom smashing something, I honestly not know what we put that in. But, Look how cute my wonderful Mommy is.

See, like I said these 4 great women in the kitchen with me and nothing could go wrong..... My Mom left to go do something and Katie told me to put 6 cups of cheese into the egg mix. So like a good sister I grabbed a big measuring bowl looked out the side and yep I saw the number 2. Perfect I thought to myself just fill this up 3 times and put all the cheese in with the eggs. While singing, dancing, and pouring I said to my Mom, who was now back in the Kitchen. "Wow, 6 cups of cheese really is a lot I think we are going to need more cheese I've only dumper 2 full things of this in and I need to do one more!" The look on my mothers face was priceless, it was as if she had seen lightning come from the sky and strike right in front of her. "You have put 2 full things of that in the egg mix? We only needed 6 cups!" "I know Mom, I have only put 4 cups in so far" "No Kelli, have put 18 cups in so far" I froze, "But Mom look it says 2 right here" "Yes Kelli but, 2 QTS means 2 Quarts not 2 cups!!" My sisters started busting up! I felt so bad I just looked at this pile of cheese that was overflowing the bowl thinking I cannot believe I just did that. My mom had to pull out a lot of the extra gross egg cheese from the mix. Needless to say, I was then sent to Natalie's house to get the Thyme that Travis left at there.
Here is all my extra cheese that we could pull out. We now will be eating a really cheesy Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole. Even in this picture I'm making a mess the cheese/egg mixture in my left hand is pouring out onto the floor.

Finally we have success! With only that cheesy mistake from me everything went perfect!! We had made 11 full dinners in 5-6 fun filled hours! What you ask what is on they menu? Well let me tell you what are sweet husbands get to eat this month. Beef and Cheese Quesadillas, Cheesy Rigatoni Bake, Ham and Potato Casserole, Souvlaki Marinated Chicken Skewers, Stove Top Chicken Casserole, Pizza Braids, Lemon Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken Stir-fry, Chicken Cordon Blue, Crescent roll breakfast casserole, and Sweet and sour meat balls! My husband is going to be glad that we gets to eat goods meals at least twice a week now.
We stalked Jo-Jo's fridge full of our dinner and we even had to have a cooler to help out because the fridge was so full.
This is all of the 11 meals for one family. pretty cool!
Here are my Sisters! Don't we look so cute and this was even after 5-6 hours of cooking! Thanks girls for a day of fun and putting up with me singing all day! I can't wait until next month! And again I'm sorry about the cheese incident! Thanks for being so forgiving! Love you girls and Enjoy your meals!

I want Magic pants!

Last night we had a fun girls night out! Tiff, Miranda, Christine, Ann, and I went out to dinner and a movie! We got free chick-fil-a (per our free for a year tickets) and then snuck it into the Theater! Tying to mix fry sauce on a paper bag on your lap in the dark is not a way I like to enjoy my fries, but I had no other option. My meal was really good anyway and I love my chick-fil-a!
Oh cute, 4 of them, 4 of us! Hey girls how about we go find a pair of pants that fits all of us!
Shh... We don't let the workers see your drinks! We are lucky that we had really big purses so we could put our bags and drinks in them. I glad that none of the drinks spilled in our fabulous purses!
After the movie we were a little hyper and full of traveling sisterhood love so we made Ann be our person photographer. We jumper off this water thing like 10 times we could get the shot we wanted, but our faces are hilarious! We had to stop because I thought Miranda was going to pee her pants!
I shoul have been in the back! My face is too big in this picutre! I had such a fun night and I love hanging out with just the girls! I can't wait until Bunco nights start so we can have girls night once a month! Thanks to Ma-ray-ray for the rockin' pic's. Love you girls!

Back for trip two at Bear lake '08

Welcome to the 2nd trip to Bear lake! This trip was just with my mom, my sister and her kids, and my Dad for one day. We had so much fun. My uncle Richard and his family went up the same week we were there and we got to hang out with them on the beach which was nice. We played in the water all day, went swimming before dinner, and played games at night. Side note: Don't let Katie drink Mountain Dew after 10pm she gets a little crazy. Look at us beach babes!
I don't really get what a perma Chink is, but it was a funny sign Jer and I found last time we were up here and we forgot to take a picture.
Father like son, I remember Grandpa Gines sitting in a chair in the lake and we Dad used to make fun of him. Well Dad, now your a grandpa and I'm making fun of you for doing this. I guess that means I'll be doing it when I'm older.
The Kiddo's on the Jet ski, Cute kids!
Precious moments
She had sand everywhere!
I can't wait to go back again! Thank Mom for the awesome trip! I loved it. I hope next time we go everyone will be able to go at the same time!

This is a video of dumb boys being boys. They buried a human so they could try to catch a bird. It was pretty entertaing so I thought I would share it with you.

1st Trip to Bear Lake in '08

We went to Bear lake July 10-12 with Jer's family. I really enjoyed going up there I got sunburned, but I learned how to wake bored! I had so much fun and enjoyed every one's company. Jer's Aunt taught me so fun card games that I had forgotten how to play so I was way excited to play games. there were like 40 people up there at the cabin so he got to stay in our new tent!
This is us on the boat getting ready to go wake boarding. It was really windy and cold, but I still enjoy a good boat ride.
My husband is so hot! check out his cool helmet.

I did it! I was so proud of myself. This is the first time I was able to stand up! It is fun and I went for a while, but my back was hurting so I fell down. I can't wait to again whenever I get a chance.
After we got back to the beach us girls didn't want to get wet so I sat in this little blow up boat and had someone pull us to shore! Hey, don't judge it was so cold.
How cute, Todd and Ann trying to get MORE tan.

Tagged

I didn't want to be tagged, but since like 4 of you tagged me then I guess you want to know more about me.

How to play this game of tag:Post these rules on your blog. List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 3 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.
3 Joys:
1. I love to hang out with Jeremy of course, but I love being with my family they have become my best friends. Whether your my Mother or my in-law cousin, I freaking love all of you.
2. Scrapbooking and crafts is my next favorite joy. I can thank my cousin's for introducing me to this Joy. I love doing them with family members like Katie, Natalie, Jessica, Miranda, and hopefully now my friend Christine.
3. Being goofy is another Joy I have. I love just running around and laughing at nothing. I love my free spirit and the ability I have to turn any situation into a fun one.

3 fears:
1. Pretty much I'm afraid of the world. Anything that can put me into danger I'm afraid of. Ask my mom, she will confess that this is true. I even remember sitting in a Dr. office when I was little and my mom told him I was afraid of my own shadow and asked if I could take anything for it.
2. I'm afraid of spiders! I hate them I scream for my life when I just see a little white one crawling around. I can thank my father for this fear and him making me watch Arachnophobia (or however you spell it). The ones that I see the most that freak me out or the little black ones that look like a perfect circle. This is because when Jeremy kills them for me he has to point out that they have eyelashes and they just want to be pretty. (sorry Ann, yes I make Jeremy kill any spider I see in my apartment). If I'm home a lone I put a shoe, box, or anything bigger than the spider one top if it and leave it upon the gross spider until Jeremy comes home and takes care of it for me.
3. I, like my sister, am afraid of anyone close to me dying! It is horrible to have some one close to you die and I hate when people I know have to go through that hard time! So please everyone wear your seat belt. I love you too much!

3 goals:
1. I want to lose my wedding weight! Why when you get married to you start gaining weight?
2. I want to be a better house wife and Cook more meals (even though it may surprise so of you how much I do cook) and I want to always have a clean house like my Mom.
3. I also want to be happy and have a positive attitude in all situations.

3 current obsessions/collections:
1. I obsessed with scrapbooking
2. I love the Twilight books! I love Edward! I love on my sister's blog she has a saying: My heart belongs to my husband, but my neck belongs to Edward! I love it.
3. COUPONS! I'm obsessed with collecting coupons and getting good deals on things puts me in the best mood.

3 random surprising facts:
1. I can talk with my mouth closed. I know not too big of a shock if you know how much I love to talk.
2. I love to watch the Disney Channel as well as my sister. They are just nice good moral shows.
3. I love my job!
