Snow Shoeing

On Presidents day I wanted to do something fun in the snow. Jeremy, Bath, Sam, and I all went snow shoeing to Dog Lake. This was a 6 mile hike in the snow, but I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. I wanted to thank Sam and Bath for putting up with Jeremy's out of shape wife.
This is the beginning of the hike notice that I have a big smile, it's because I had energy at this point.
Here we are dressed in our snow clothes and shoes. Thanks to George and Ashley for letting us borrow your shoes.

Sam and Bath goofed off the whole time they were so funny. At one point they were pretending to lead a marching band, they kept me entertained.

Yeah!! We finally made it to Dog Lake! (why does Sam have to point in every picture?)

Sam and Bath doing flips off a boulder while I take a rest. I had a lot of fun even though I was sore from the hike. It was so pretty up there and I'm glad Jeremy and I were able to spend a day off of work together. I love you babe thanks for the fun day.

Happy Birthday Natalie!!

One year older and wiser to Happy Birthday (clap) to you! Yes, I just got out of Primary.

Today is Natalie's 26th Birthday. She has been in our family for almost 6 years now, Wow how times flies when you are having fun. Nat is so much fun to have around and I love how she keeps Travis in line. I've learned so much from Natalie she taught me how to work my way up the Marriott  chain and how to deal with mean people on the phone. She is currently teaching me how to be a super Mom and helps me with my cooking skills.

Natalie is so creative and loves to do crafty things, which by the way always turn out so cute. She is so smart, cheerful, and a joy to be around. Natalie is a great Mother and a wonderful example to everyone she meets.
I love that Natalie is a crazy goof ball just like the rest of us. She loves to have fun and plan activities with me. Some of the funniest times that happen around the dinner table is because of Nat. I'm so happy Travis married her and I can't imagine another person that fits with him and fits into our family so perfectly.
I love that I can call Nat with any questions and she always has an answer for me. She is exactly like and older sister and puts me in my place when I need to calm down. Thanks Nat for being so awesome and for putting up with Travis and the rest of us for 6 years. You are a trooper and I look forward to many more laughs with you. I love you and have a great birthday.

Col. Mustard in the Theatre with the Bat

Col. Mustard in the Theatre with the Bat is what I guessed when we played Clue on Friday night with our good friends George and Ashley. My guess was right, but Jer got back to the pool before me and guessed the same answer and he won.

This weekend was fun we played games with George and Ashley and got to see their cute house in Daybreak.
At least I won Jeremy in Ticket to ride!
On Saturday night I had a girls night with my BFF's from high school. It been like 3 years since we have all been together! Look how cute we all are! I'm so glad we are friends again. Love you girls.

We played Cruses and Shawn had to copy everything that McKenna did. We laughed all night and I can't wait until Feb. when we get to go see Beauty and the Beast.

UTAH... THIS IS THE PLACE

"Utah, people working together. Utah, What a great place to be. You can go anywhere, but there is none that compare this is the place."

When these words are sung by off tune, screaming 4th graders it brings happiness to my heart. If you were once a 4th grader here in Utah you too must feel the way that I do. The Utah program that is put on by 4th graders all across the State is the best Elementary/Jr. High program I have ever been a part of. I still remember all the words to every song they sing and I love to sing them at the top of my lungs. I was so sad the day my 4th grade program was over because I loved those songs so much I just wanted to perform them all the time. (I believe this is where my love of performing started). Well luckily my awesome Mom is a 4th grade teacher and I get to relive that program once every year. My Mom always asks me if I can come help her out and while she thinks I'm doing her a favor she is really doing me the favor.

Tonight was the night of the big production. The kids were great! They made me laugh so hard. I was not let down by this years group. I was able to get my 2 favorite songs on video while I was helping my Mom out.

This one is called Iron Wheels. While I didn't get to perform this one in my own production (stupid Mrs. Haglock's class) I just love the words and the beat! CHOO CHOO! After this song my Mom blows a train whistle for like 10 minutes, it made me giggle!

This next song made me never forget the 29 counties that we have here in Utah. This one was my favorite and I got to hold up the Wayne sign when I was in it. Yes, I still think DAVIS is the best of all.

Thanks Mom for letting me be a part of this ever year. But next year, I get to switch up some choreography and update the John Stockton and 80's pictures that you use on your slide show!

I LOVE UTAH!

Dan's Day (1 day late)

Happy Birthday Daniel G. Whitney
Dan's birthday was yesterday (sorry I'm one day late). We went to Dan and Miranda's house to have Pizza and Cake. It was a fun night with the family.
I just wanted to take the time on Dan's fabulous day to thank him for everything he has done for us. In the 14 months I have been married into the Whitney family I have come to know what a generous, caring, and sweet person Dan is. He is always giving and wants nothing in return. I want to thank him for everything. He is always there to humor me whether it's letting me cry to him about the reservation center closing down or standing behind me at the black jack table telling me to hit or stay. I always enjoy Dan's company. I'm grateful for the example he is to Jeremy and I. He is a great Dad to 3 wonderful crazy boys and sweet Husband to Miranda. I hope you had a great day yesterday and thanks for being the Shiz! We love you!

Happy Birthday CACA!!

Happy Birthday Jessica! I can't believe you have been in this family for a total of 5 years. I love that your first date was to Charlie Brown and you thought I had black hair!
I have learned so much from you over the years and I'm so happy that we have become really good friends.
I also couldn't have picked a better person to be married to my brother. I think that you two are so cute together, but mostly I love that you can win him at video games! I thank you for putting up with all of Adam's projects and little things that he likes to do.
I love that you do crafts with me, fix my hair everyday on vacations, ride roller coasters with me till we want to puke and die, and be there for me when I need to talk to someone.
You are so talented in many ways from Making stained glass all the way to giving me pretty nails.
You are a wonderful person and a great wife. You are so Strong Jess, I'm so proud of how you came out of so many trials to be the happy Jess we all know and love!

I hope you have the best day ever and my all your dreams come true! I love you CACA!!
